Kyra Teis

Kyra Teis is an author and illustrator. Her picture books display her love for bright colors, children and imagination. Her art began as paper collage—carefully blotted layers of acrylic paint onto paper, then cut and glued the paper to create her illustrations. Some illustrations were assembled from dozens of tiny pieces!

​Now she works digitally in Photoshop. To maintain her beloved textural style, she scanned all the colorful blotted papers into the computer and uses the digital files of them in her current work.
